 : Physical connection of computers and wires around the world.
Interconnection of computers around the world : network

Servers connect directly to internet.
it serves to clients like phones, computer. network provided by ISP internet service provider

IP address : identifier
MAC address : permanent . hard coded

*When you send or recieve data thru a network you need to have both an IP and MAC address.

Packets : little bits of data. when reaches destination it rearranges to former stage.

Networking Hardware :


Ethernet cable
Wi-Fi . radio signals, antenna
Fiber Optic Cable . greater speeds

Router : Connects lots of devices together and helps route network traffic
Switches : A network switch is networking hardware that connects devices on a computer network by using packet switching to receive and forward data to the destination device.
Hubs : common connection point for devices in a network.

IP (INTERNET PROTOCOL) : Responsible delivers packets to right computer .Route information.
TCP (TRANSMISSION CONTROL PROTOCOL ) : Delivering info from one network to another network.
